Ongoing Programs

Tastefully Simple has undertaken many unique initiatives in an effort to make our world a better place.

Some of these ongoing programs and activities at our company headquarters include:

• Kids in the Community. Including more than 70 children, Tastefully Simple’s youth mentorship program gives kids the opportunity to get involved and give back to their local community.
  
  
• Woods and Wetlands Preservation. Tastefully Simple Founder & CEO Jill Blashack Strahan and Founding Partner & COO Joani Nielson purchased 100 acres of land, including a lake renamed "Lake Bountiful," to preserve it from future development. All members of the company are encouraged to use the property for canoeing, hiking and other activities.
  
  
• Impact Alexandria. In 2003, our company created this exciting annual event to bring renowned business leaders to the Alexandria community. Featured guests have included best-selling authors and speakers, such as Stephen R. Covey, Dr. Ken Blanchard, Zig Ziglar and Jack Canfield.
  
  
• Community Volunteerism. Tastefully Simple gives every member of the company up to eight hours of paid work time to volunteer each year at the non-profit organization of their choice. Our company also employs a full-time community volunteer to assist charitable organizations that cannot afford to hire someone for their staff.
  
  
• Green Team. This committee is devoted to increasing awareness of environmental issues at our company headquarters. Its members explain how to reduce waste, recycle and use resources responsibly.
  
  
• Product Donations. Tastefully Simple gladly donates discontinued products to troops serving overseas and non-profit organizations whose mission is to feed those in need. Our company also donates Gift Packs to local charities for use in their fundraising efforts.
