American Cancer Society's Relay For Life - As the American Cancer Society's signature fundraising activity, Relay For Life offers everyone in a community an opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer.
Last year, Tastefully Simple consultants raised over $291,000 and Tastefully Simple gave an additional $50,000 ... for a total of over $340,000 donated to support the American Cancer Society. This year, we're also proud to participate in Relay For Life as a National Corporate Team.

"I believe we all know someone who has battled cancer. Whether they have won their battle or not, they deserve our support: emotional, physical AND monetary.
I am going to participate again this year with my team, 'Tastefully Simple Dream Seekers.' I will give a portion of my summer sales to the event and work with other teams in my town to hold fundraising taste-testing parties. Last year we had a party with 60 people and I was able to donate $500 to the relay!"

Abundancy Award - Every year, many of our consultants hold fundraisers featuring Tastefully Simple products and donate the proceeds to charitable organizations in their area. Several consultants also serve as volunteers and make personal donations to help others in need.
In honor of these remarkable efforts, our company established an Abundancy Award to recognize consultants who are positively impacting their communities. One consultant receives this special honor each year at Tastefully Simple's National Conference. It's a terrific way to share their inspiring stories and increase the visibility of charitable causes.

Our 2009 Abundancy Award earner, Michelle Tait (ND), organizes fundraisers throughout the year to support Toys for Tots, an organization that provides Christmas gifts to children in need. "The parents of these children may not know where their next meal is coming from, much less trying to get their child a gift," she said. She also works with Toys for Tots to line up volunteers, purchase and distribute the presents, get the word out about the organization, and do paperwork and other tasks. Even when Michelle's home was being evacuated due to flooding, she was thinking about her next fundraiser for Toys for Tots.

Giving with Gratitude Day - On August 12, 2009, Tastefully Simple consultants from across the nation gathered together to participate in our first-ever Giving with Gratitude Day!
This event was held in conjunction with Tastefully Simple's National Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Teams of our consultants volunteered at five organizations dedicated to fighting hunger and providing meals to those in need, including the Emergency Food Shelf Network, Second Harvest Heartland and Loaves and Fishes. This special day was designed to support our philosophy of giving with gratitude ... as well as our partnership with Share Our Strength (see above for more information). Watch the video now!
