Full disclosure: I joined Tastefully Simple in April 2020, when the company was offering the Business Blast Off Kit for just $25. I really was just interested in the products that came with the kit. Yes, I was what is known in direct sales as a “kit-napper.” But my sponsor offered to do a launch party for me … and suddenly I had a real business!

Since I began during the COVID-19 lockdown, I have worked my business exclusively online. Even if I’m not doing in-person tastings, Tastefully Simple is still a party company. So success starts with bookings. I usually reach out to Facebook party guests who interact the most and ask them if they want to earn free products by hosting their own party.

Parties are meant to be fun! I do games and giveaways that encourage the guests to interact and enjoy themselves.

My Facebook VIP group has helped develop and maintain a growing client base, and allows me to keep my clients up-to-date on specials, offer special perks like contests and maintain a relationship with them.

With a year as a consultant under my belt, I can say my business has impacted me and my family in several ways. I have found something that is for me and brings me joy. I am a stay-at-home mom who now has an outlet to make extra money for my family – and I do it all from home! I love hearing when my clients try new recipes and products and they say they love them. That is really what it’s all about: I love selling something I believe in!
