If you are big into the picnic scene, you may already know that the best picnic salads are the ones with no mayo. Who wants to eat mayo that’s been sitting in the hot sun for three hours? Not this chick. I want salads that are easy to throw together, full of family-friendly flavors and easy to serve.
If you prefer chilled salads, consider using a chilled bowl or set your regular bowl down into a larger bowl filled with ice. Drain the water and refill the ice as needed.
For an easier way to serve and chill, make individual servings in mason jars, plastic cups or small containers and keep them on ice. That way people can grab their own container and enjoy!
