Oh, dear readers … I have just discovered Broccoli Tots and they are ahhhh-mazing! You simply must try them! It is a very delicious way to eat your veggies.
They taste like something you might order off an appetizer menu – like something that’s bad for you – but they are actually pretty healthful. So much better than straight-up taters or something deep fried!
We had them with dinner, and the rest … well, true confessions here: I ate them cold out of the fridge. And they were even good that way!
Tips & Hints:
- I chopped up the frozen broccoli a little, as the bag I bought had fairly huge chunks of broccoli in it.
- Be sure to really squeeze the excess water out of the broccoli. I used a tea towel, but you could also use cheesecloth or sturdy paper towels.
- I think you could do this with a bag of California blend veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots) too – just chop them coarsely.
- I used a little Seasoned Salt and Garlic Pepper Seasoning in mine. Yum!
