As I sit here, one week into November, I am amazed yet again at how quickly the years go by. I also look forward to the abundant family gatherings that will take place in the next couple of months … and happy that I have learned a few tricks to make light work of big meals.
Holiday gatherings are steeped in tradition for most of us, so I don’t usually choose these events to spring new recipes on my unsuspecting family members. However, traditional taste doesn’t have to mean loads of work. Here are a few of my holiday go-tos. They taste amazing and allow me to spend more of my time out of the kitchen than in!
Rustic Herb Turkey . It is remarkable to me that with just three simple ingredients, this recipe produces my absolute favorite turkey.
Creamy Wild Rice Stuffing. This recipe is one of our most popular, and it has it all! Wild rice, cranberries, bacon and so much delicious. Check out the “make ahead” instructions, too!
Garlic Pepper Mashed Potatoes. The addition of cheese and garlic adds sass, but doesn’t detract from the tradition of turkey and gravy. Your family will love how flavorful these potatoes are for the main event and for leftovers.
Mulled Cranberry Sauce. You may have heard me rave about this recipe before, and I will shamelessly do it again (and again!). It is hands-down my favorite cranberry sauce recipe.
Seasoned Green Beans. This easy, 3-ingredient side dish celebrates the simplicity of stove-top cooking, yet tastes wonderful. And it takes 15 minutes (or less) from start to finish.
So this holiday season, make your meals easy and delicious with your favorite Tastefully Simple ingredients.
PS. Our Maple Iced Gingerbread Mix is not only amazing … it will fill your home with that wonderful holiday aroma.
