Cinnamon Muffin Melt Waffles

When I think of Valentine’s Day I picture roses and cards, romantic dinners out and lots of chocolate! Not the most kid friendly of holidays. However, I was lucky enough to have a mom who made sure her kids felt a little love on Valentine’s Day. We woke up every year to a heart-themed breakfast. Whether that was pancakes, waffles or cinnamon rolls, she always made sure they were shaped like a heart. This year, start a new tradition with your family: Cinnamon Muffin Melt Waffles. You won’t be able to get them out fast enough! They are ridiculously easy to make and a fun way to show the love on Valentine’s Day!

Simply pour the dry mix into a bowl and to that add 1 cup of milk, 2 eggs and ½ of the sugar packet. Mix and pour into a hot greased waffle iron. That’s it! The hardest part of this recipe will be waiting for the timer on the iron to go off! We topped our waffles with a little maple syrup and a touch more of that yummy sugar. You could also top with whipped cream and chocolate chips, peanut butter or even a little Nutella! Since Valentine’s Day falls on a Sunday this year, make a little waffle bar for breakfast, and dust off those cute heart-shaped cookie cutters. Your family will feel the love!

Tips and Hints

  • Since there is more sugar in these than regular waffles, they tend to cook a little quicker. Set your timer for a little less time than normal.
