DIY Halloween Treat Bags

You guys. Halloween is coming and my Pinterest board is getting full of great, cute ideas for my kids and delicious snacks and treats. It’s so fun!

I really enjoy making little treat bags for my kids' daycare friends. The first year I brought treats to daycare I had a little pep in my step as I dropped off the little bags with clever, handmade tags. I'm a pretty crafty person and didn't realize until I picked up the kids that night that all of the other parents were, too. I was in awe of some of the awesome things that were sent home with the kids. And not just the cute tags, but the homemade treats!

While I wouldn't make homemade treats for all the trick or treaters who come by our house (because ... whoa), I definitely love putting a little extra time in for daycare and teacher treats. But not too much extra time, because mom life is busy!

Thankfully Twisty Grahams are easy to doll up. They are such a kid-friendly (and adult-friendly) snack.

Make little mummies simply by melting almond bark according to package directions, drizzling over the Twisty Graham and placing two candy eyes on top! Let them set before adding to a bag. (Unless they get eaten before then.)

Create cute little pumpkins by adding orange food coloring to the melted almond bark. Dunk the Twisty Grahams and place on wax paper, then top with a green candy. Let them set before adding to a bag.
