Dress It Up: Make your own salad dressing

I love salad, and the dressing is one of my favorite parts. I know people who will only eat a salad because of the dressing.

For a variety of reasons, I often make my own salad dressing. Mostly it’s because I love to customize the flavors, but also because I can control what’s in the dressing - and when I alternate different dressings, I can keep my salads tasting new and fresh.

DIY salad dressings are so simple and easy to make. Below are a few of my favorite recipes.

  • For an Italian dressing, mix 1½ tablespoons Italian Garlic Seasoning, ¼ cup Avocado Oil and ¼ cup Aged Balsamic Vinegar of Modena. Voila! It’s a dressing perfect for any greens or veggies.

  • Are creamy dressings more your style? Mix 1 tablespoon Rustic Herb Seasoning, ¾ cup mayonnaise, ½ cup milk and 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar for a delicious dressing that’s perfect for salads, veggies and sandwiches.

  • For a citrus-infused dressing, mix 2 tablespoons Avocado Oil, 1 tablespoon Citrus Herb Seasoning and the juice of one lime. This dressing is amazing!

  • For a versatile vinaigrette, mix 1½ tablespoons of any Tastefully Simple seasoning, ¼ cup Avocado Oil and ¼ cup Aged Balsamic Vinegar of Modena and you can make yourself a new dressing every day. It’s that simple and it’s oh so delicious!
