Easter Morning Muffins

If you're looking for something simple to pair well with your Easter brunch, I've got a great recipe for you. Tastefully Simple's Cinnamon Muffin Melts™ are new and improved, and honestly, the most delicious muffins I've ever had. They remind me of warm mini donuts from the fair. I put a little twist on the standard prep and, voilá, a 20-minute miracle!

I didn't need any candy with these tasty treats.

Easter Morning Muffins

Preheat oven to 400°. Combine packet 1 with water; blend well. Divide batter evenly among 12 paper liners or greased muffin cups. Combine packet 2, butter, and flour; blend well. Mixture will be a little crumbly; crumble on tops of each muffin. Bake 16-18 minutes; serve warm. Makes 12 muffins.

Tips and Hints

  • I always use muffin tins to save me work - there's a ton of cute Easter-themed tins out there!
  • If you want to add a little extra flavor to your muffins, add a dollop of cream cheese or fruit preserves to the center and place a little more batter on top. Top with streusel crumb. Add an extra minute or so to your baking time.
  • Try making 24 mini muffins!
  • My kids love these muffins - even a day or two later, we pop them in the microwave for 5-10 seconds and enjoy their warm and delicious donut flavor!
