Honey Teriyaki Salmon

You never forget your first love.

Now don’t get be wrong. I’m smitten by many of the new products making their debut in our Spring-Summer Catalog – from our luscious Lemonberry™ Cake to that gorgeous Raspberry Jalapeño Sauce.

But Honey Teriyaki Sauce. You handsome devil. It’s SO good to see you again.

This month marks my 10-year anniversary with Tastefully Simple, and Honey Teriyaki Sauce is the first product that I fell in love with. As some of you may know, this sauce first appeared in our catalog back in 2002. (Fun fact: It was part of our standard line for six years, and it’s been brought back by popular demand – TWICE!)

So I’m not the only one who’s been pining away, longing for its return. With succulent honey, dark sesame oil and a hint of brown sugar, it’s divine in stir-fry. Delicious drizzled on chicken. But my absolute favorite? Slathered with abandon on salmon. This dish is super easy, and it’s fit for a five-star restaurant.

Try it tonight! Trust me, your heart will never be the same.

Honey Teriyaki Salmon

Ingredients

Directions

Place salmon fillets in a large resealable bag and pour in sauce; marinate 30-60 minutes in refrigerator. Preheat oven to 400°. Place fillets in a greased baking dish, discarding marinade. Season with freshly ground black pepper. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until fish flakes easily. Top with a drizzle of additional sauce before serving. Makes 3-4 servings.

Tips and Hints

  • Like a slightly crispy texture? Sprinkle fillets with a little brown sugar and turn on your broiler for the last minute or two. (Watch it carefully though!)
  • For a complete meal, pair with creamy mashed potatoes or baked sweet potatoes.
  • This meal is also delicious served with roasted asparagus (tossed with olive oil, salt and black pepper) and wine (if you’ve had a long week).
  • Garnish salmon with slivered almonds, chopped pecans or sesame seeds for a little extra “ooh-ahh” factor.
