I don't know about you, but this busy holiday season of eating all kinds of different/fancy foods makes me crave “normal” meals. Now don't get me wrong, I love to indulge and celebrate the season with delicious appetizers, desserts and so much more. However, all that rich deliciousness coupled with crazy-busy schedules makes me super tired and lacking energy. I look forward to having a “better-for-me” meal with a simple meat and some sort of light side.
We had our first of many holiday get-togethers this past weekend and already I'm craving normal. So this week, I've been scoping out Tastefully Simple's website for new sides that will be quick and easy to feed my family between basketball games, practices, concerts and last-minute holiday prep. I found some great additions to our menu and I think you'll enjoy them, too!
Roasted Vegetable Blend »
Add pizzazz to your favorite frozen veggies with Onion Onion™ Seasoning. This side is a classic that's easy to keep on hand, but it reaches all-new heights of deliciousness with the addition of our popular, five-star seasoning.
Garlic Pepper & Honey Sweet Potatoes »
Sweet potatoes are one of my favorites – and not just when they are loaded down with butter, brown sugar and marshmallows for the holidays. This baked sweet potato recipe has just the right amount of sweetness balanced with a slight kick of Garlic Pepper Seasoning. Delish!
Maple-Roasted Brussels Sprouts »
Mmmmm … Brussels sprouts! Trust me, they're WAY more delicious than their reputation. These Maple-Roasted Brussels Sprouts are super simple to make and the maple syrup adds a touch of sweetness the whole family will love.
Creamy Rustic Herb Salad »
Everyone knows a classic salad is a great side dish or starter for any meal. This Creamy Rustic Herb Salad adds lots of flavor without adding a ton of ingredients and heaviness. Add chicken or shrimp and it can even be a main dish.
Here's to a very merry holiday season – and some “normal” mixed in!
