As a mom, striking a balance between getting your kids to eat healthier and letting them just be kids and having fun foods can be a struggle. I know I am one of those moms trying to play that balancing act every day. Well, with this recipe, you can feel good about what they are eating and they will have no clue it's a lightened up version of one of their favorites - pizza rolls!
I have to say, this recipe was an absolute hit at my house! My kids both gobbled these up. I hate to admit it, but we have pizza at our house often enough that I have kind of grown tired of it. However, these pizza rolls had a great twist on the flavor that made me feel like I was eating something completely different! Score! My husband was not home when I made these, but there were a few left over when he got home. He saw them and was immediately intrigued and had to try them. He LOVED them, too! I consider any recipe that has four raving fans in our house a complete VICTORY. Even better, they are super easy to make and are better for you than the ones you might find in the frozen section of your local grocery store. In fact, next time I think I'll let the kiddos help with the assembly. They would get a kick out of it as they love to help in the kitchen.
Enjoy!

Preheat oven to 400°. Pour ¾ cup pizza sauce in a medium bowl.
Add ¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese.
Add 24 turkey pepperonis, cut in quarters.
Add ½ cup browned and drained turkey sausage.
Stir in 1-2 tsp. Pizzeria Seasoning and mix well.
Place about a tablespoon of filling on each wonton wrapper.
Dip your finger in a small bowl of water and wet two edges of the wrapper. Fold the other half over and stick the dry edges to the wet edges. Press to seal. Lay the rolls on a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Lightly spray them with non-stick cooking spray and sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the tops.
Bake for about 10 minutes until the tops are light golden brown.
My kids loved dipping these in some extra pizza sauce, while I just liked mine plain. My husband tried dipping them in some ranch dressing and said that was great as well! Enjoy!
