Stuffed Baked Apples

You know those people who just can’t wait for fall and pumpkin flavor and baked apple pies? Well, I'm one of them. I even start burning my pumpkin spice candle in August. Yes. Yes I do. And I'm not even ashamed; I just love it SO much.

And when you are ready for fall, too, I recommend trying these baked apples. They are such a warm and cozy, delicious treat, and hey – you are eating an apple, which is healthy, so no need to say goodbye to your summer body just yet! Made with our Pumpkin Caramel Sauce and Caramel Apple Cider Mix, these baked apples are sure to give you that apple pie and pumpkin flavor fix.

Enjoy! (I know I did.)

Stuffed Baked Apples

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup Caramel Apple Cider Mix
  • ¼ cup flour
  • ¼ cup oats
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons butter, chilled and cut into cubes
  • 6 apples
  • 1/3 cup Pumpkin Caramel Sauce , divided

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Mix together Caramel Apple Cider Mix, flour, oats and brown sugar. Cut in the butter with a pastry knife or fork until mixture is crumbly. Set aside.
  2. Peel and dice 2 apples. Add diced apples and ¼ cup Pumpkin Caramel Sauce to saucepan. Sauté for 8-10 minutes until tender. Remove from heat.
  3. Chop the tops off the remaining apples and use a spoon to carve out the core. You don't need to completely empty out the inside of the apple - just enough room for the filling.
  4. Fill apples with the apple mixture. Top with a generous amount of crumble topping.
  5. Place stuffed apples on baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until topping looks crispy. Serve warm and drizzle with remaining Pumpkin Caramel Sauce to taste.

Tips and Hints

  • Serve with ice cream!
  • If there is any room left in your apple after putting the sautéed apples in it, pour some Pumpkin Caramel Sauce over them, then top with the topping.
