Combine ingredients in medium saucepan, whisk to blend. Heat gently until smooth, stirring often. Makes about 2½ cups sauce. For thicker sauce, reduce milk by ½ cup.
Lighten it up: use light cream cheese and skim milk instead.

Add cooked chicken or shrimp to prepared sauce. Serve over pasta or rice.
Whisk ½ cup shredded Swiss cheese into warm sauce.
Spoon sauce over steamed broccoli or sauteed chicken breasts.
For a salad dressing, whisk 1 packet sauce mix with ½ cup milk, 1 Tbsp. white vinegar and ½ cup mayonnaise.
For a white pizza sauce, combine 1 packet sauce mix with 8 oz. cream cheese and ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese. Heat gently until smooth.
