Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not good for pancakes I was excited to try these pancakes and was very disappointed. I agree with the other reviews that this batter is not conducive to pancake-making. The pancakes stayed too moist and did not bubble up on the griddle like a traditional pancake would. The remaining batter gets very thick as it sits while you are cooking. I had to add extra water each time I made a batch. The flavor was good, but this recipe definitely needs “tweaked” a bit to make it a little more pancake-friendly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great flavor Made a batch of pancakes, but were not as I expected, so I took out my waffle maker and made waffles. Perfect consistency for waffles and they turned out great!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Incredibly dense If you're looking for light and fluffy pancakes that bubble up like you're used to, this is not the recipe for you! The batter looks more like a pudding and continues to thicken as you let it sit while the first batch is cooking -- I had to add water a bunch of times to keep them spreadable. That said - they are quite tasty but VERY VERY VERY rich. If you're used to eating 5 or 6 small pancakes, you'll probably be satisfied with 2 or 3 at most.
