ingredients

  • 3½ cups reduced sodium chicken broth, warmed
  • 1½ cups Arborio rice
  • 1 pound (51-60 count) raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 (8 ounce) package flaked imitation crab, broken apart
  • 1 cup half & half
  • 1 packet Creamy Crab Cheese Ball Mix
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese, optional

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. In a greased 13x9-inch baking dish, combine first 5 ingredients.
  2. Bake, covered, 50-60 minutes or until liquid is absorbed. Meanwhile, in small bowl, whisk together half & half and Creamy Crab Cheese Ball Mix.
  3. Remove risotto from oven. Stir in creamy crab sauce and cheese; stir until cream. Salt and pepper as desired.

Makes 6 servings OR 4 servings + 2 leftover servings. Serve with green salad.Make ahead & freeze: Combine rice, Garlic Garlic™ Seasoning, shrimp and crab in a gallon freezer bag. Seal well, label and freeze. Thaw completely. Continue with step 1.

For remix Seafood Risotto Rice Soup recipe: Place 2 servings of risotto (2 2/3 cups) in a storage container. Refrigerate up to 2 days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easiest risotto ever This was the easiest risotto to make ever! I added bay scallops to the recipe as well. It was a good thing i put away some of the risotto to make the soup or there probably wouldn't have been any left but since this was the first time making this I wanted to try both. I definitely will be making this again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Even the kids liked it! This was delicious! I definitely will be making it again and am excited for the remix. We used real crab meat and had to take the lid off to make sure all the moisture absorbed. We paired with roasted asparagus spears.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delicious! This was a wonderful dish. I did a couple of things to doctor it up a bit... I added a bit more half & half as the dish was a bit dry for a risotto, but that could've just been the way it cooked in my oven. I also added 1/4 cup more shredded Parmesan and then dotted a couple of tablespoons of butter over the top & let them melt down. Oh, also I didn't have the imitation crab on hand so I used a 5 oz can of salmon. In the end this was so, so good! I'll definitely make this again, yum!!!
