Italian Almond Pound Cake Recipe
This pound cake is chock full of almonds and dried cherries and pairs well as a dessert with Italian food.

- 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup Water
- 3/4 cup dried cherries
- 3/4 cup sliced almonds
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Prepare pound cake according to directions on the box. Fold dried cherries and almonds into pound cake and spread the remaining 1/2 cup on top of the batter. Spread into a greased 9x5 loaf pan and bake for 50-55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely. Makes about 10 servings.
