Prepare as directed on package with apples and eggs. Spoon into greased muffin tin to 2/3 full. Combine brown sugar, pecans & cinnamon. Sprinkle over muffins. Bake at 350° for 15-20 minutes. Cool on cooling rack; drizzle Creamy Caramel Sauce over muffins. Makes 10-12 servings.

Recipe redoI read the reviews so decided to substitute 1 cup of applesauce for the apples. I baked for about 10 minutes and then placed the topping on and continued to bake.

muffins fall apartI read the review about these muffins having a hole in the middle, but decided to try them anyway. I used a mini muffin pan and had the same result: muffins that stick to the sides, and fall apart with a hole in the middle. Nana's Apple Cake Mix is best used in a cake pan!

Ugly muffins but taste greatI made the Nana's Apple Cake Muffins this morning for Thanksgiving breakfast. The house smells wonderful, the muffins taste great warm out of the oven. However . . . they fell in the middle and left a hole in each one. I supposed you could fill them with caramel sauce or something because they look pathetic.
