  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup sliced onions
  • 2 leftover Classic TS Burgers
  • 4 slices rye or wheat bread
  • 1-2 tablespoons butter, softened

This is a leftover recipe for Classic TS Burgers.

  1. In medium skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add onions; salt and pepper as desired. Sauté 4-5 minutes. Add in 1-2 tablespoons water. Continue sautéing until water has evaporated and onions are golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Place burgers on a microwave-safe plate. Microwave on HIGH 1-2 minutes or until heated through. Place burgers on 2 slices of bread. Top with onions and remaining bread. Spread both sides of bread with butter.
  3. Wipe out skillet with onions. Heat over medium-high heat. When hot, add sandwiches. Reduce heat to medium. Cook 4-5 minutes or until golden brown on both sides, turning over halfway.
Makes 2 servings.

Work Lunch Suggestion
: Prepare step 1. Place burgers in 2 microwave-safe storage containers; top burgers with cooked onions. Refrigerate up to 1 day. Reheat burgers in microwave on HIGH 1-2 minutes. Toast bread and place burgers between toast slices.
