Shallot Tarragon Turkey Burgers Recipe

  • 1½ pounds lean ground turkey
  • 1 packet Shallot Tarragon Compound Butter Mix , divided
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 4 ounces fontina cheese, sliced or 6 slices provolone cheese
  • 6 whole wheat hamburger buns, toasted
  • Lettuce leaves, tomato slices, optional

  • Grill


  1. In large bowl, combine turkey, 1 tablespoon Shallot Tarragon Compound Butter Mix and Seasoned Salt; pepper as desired. Form into 6 patties.
  2. Prepare grill to medium heat. Place patties on grill. Grill, turning once, 8-10 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F on an instant-read food thermometer. Top with cheese.
  3. Meanwhile, in small bowl, combine remaining Shallot Tarragon Compound Butter Mix and mayonnaise. Place lettuce and tomatoes, if desired, on toasted buns. Top with burgers and shallot tarragon mayonnaise.

Makes 6 servings. Serve with sweet potato fries.

Make ahead & freeze: Prepare step 1. Place patties in a gallon freezer bag between layers of wax paper. Place remaining Shallot Tarragon Compound Butter Mix in a quart freezer bag. Place both bags in a gallon freezer bag. Seal well, label and freeze. Thaw completely. Continue with step 2.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shallot Tarragon Turkey burgers Turkey burgers are generally very bland but the Shallot Tarragon Compound butter and Seasoned Salt gave these burgers a hearty delicious taste. Then topped with the seasoned mayonnaise was like icing on a cake. Absolutely delicious!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Enjoyed by my entire family The shallot tarragon compound butter mix was new to me and I'd only had it as a condiment prior to using this recipe. I was looking for a recipe that would work well with the ingredients that I had on hand, and this fit my needs. We had more ground turkey than the recipe called for, so we doubled it and froze the leftover. We turned them into sliders. So delicious and perfectly done. The burgers were not dry at all and can easily be cooked on the stove if it's too hot to grill outside (as it is here in TX). The shallot tarragon mayo brought the entire burger together and it was not overpowering. It's a recipe that has already been requested again.
