Stovetop Bacon Mac & Cheese Recipe

  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni, mini penne or other pasta
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, cubed
  • 1 cup 2% milk
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

  1. Prepare pasta according to package directions; drain.
  2. Meanwhile, in microwave-safe bowl, microwave cream cheese on HIGH 30-45 seconds or until smooth when whisked. Whisk in Cheddar Pimento Cheese Ball Mix, then milk and cheese. Continue microwaving and whisking in 30 second intervals until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth, about 60-90 seconds.
  3. Toss sauce and bacon into hot pasta, stirring well to coat. Serve immediately.

Myself and my husband really enjoyed it, we said it tasted like a gourmet Mac and cheese you would get in a fancy restaurant. But the kids didn’t care for it as much. They said it was ok but they prefer it plain. Overall though I would make it again, especially if I was having a dinner party or adult get together
