Strawberry Shortcake Pastries Recipe

  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 (17.3 ounce) package frozen puff pastry (2 sheets), thawed
  • 1 (16 ounce) package fresh strawberries, sliced
  • Confectioner’s sugar for garnish

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Combine first 3 ingredients; blend well.
  2. Using a pizza cutter, slice each puff pastry sheet into four squares. Place squares at least a couple inches apart on 2 baking sheets. Spread each one with cream cheese mixture to within 1-2 inches of the edge.
  3. Arrange strawberries in the center of each square, dividing them evenly among pastries. Fold up 1-2 inches of pastry over the strawberries, leaving the centers open. Bake 22-25 minutes or until pastry is golden brown. Garnish with confectioner’s sugar. Serve warm.
