ingredients

  • 2 lbs. chuck roast, cut into 4 chunks
  • 2 red and/or green bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 8 oz. pkg. sliced button mushrooms (optional)
  • 4 cups reduced sodium beef broth or stock
  • 6 hoagie buns, sliced and toasted
  • 6 slices provolone or mozzarella cheese

Rub roast with 1 Tbsp. Ultimate Steak™ Seasoning. Place in a 4-quart or larger slow cooker with peppers, onions and mushrooms. Cover with beef broth and remaining 1 Tbsp. Ultimate Steak™ Seasoning.

Cook on low 8-10 hours. Remove meat from slow cooker and pull apart with forks. Place back in slow cooker.

Place cheese slices on toasted hoagie buns. Add beef and vegetables to buns. Serve with small cups of cooking juices for dipping sandwiches in, if desired.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cheesesteak meets French Dip! We just had this one tonight! So easy and a super convenient crockpot recipe. The family loved it! I'd say it's a cheesesteak meets French dip! Juicy yummy cheesy goodness! I added a bit of horseradish to mine!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quite delicious! The beef shreds nicely, the flavor is pretty amazing! Definitely don't forget to use the low/no sodium beef broth since the Ultimate Steak Seasoning has a great, salty flavor to it. I would add more peppers next time. This recipe is definitely a keeper!
