  • ½ cup (1 stick) melted butter
  • ⅔ cup water

Preheat oven to 325°. Combine ingredients; stir until smooth. Pour batter into a greased 9 x 5 loaf pan. Bake 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Makes about 8 servings. High Altitude: Prepare using 6 Tbsp. melted butter, ⅔ cup water and 1 egg. Bake at 350° for 50 minutes. More Ways To Mix It Up! Stir in ½ cup chocolate chips or chopped nuts. Use olive oil in place of the butter. Top a slice with whipped cream and strawberries. Frost the loaf with cream cheese frosting.

We made them for her birthday parties, get togethers and also freeze them so she can take one to a friend party so the parent don't have to go out of their way to find gluten free just for her and also to school for a special treat on a day a classmate has a birthday. I've also added chocolate chips, caramel chips and even jimmies (for a party cake flavor) at times.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Million Dollar Vanilla Bean Pound Cake This is by far one of the best products Tastefully Simple has ever come out with. I take this to work functions and it is the first thing to disappear. No one ever knows it is gluten free. Even better, between my sister's family & my own we have 4 that have to eat gluten free. There are literally times that it is a race to see who can hide the last few pieces so they don't get eaten by someone else. This mix is worth a million to my family.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very tasty, but, flat I made this a few days ago and it was really good! However, I have made a lot of the other TS pound cakes and this is the first one that didn't rise. It did rise in the oven when it was cooking, but, as soon as it came out, not only did it go flat, but sank. I have one more package and hoping that it was just a fluke.....Anyone else have a problem with this one or might have an idea why?
