Anyone else over-the-moon excited for the holidays? I started listening to Christmas music in October. Everything about the season just makes my heart happy and warm.
One of my favorite things about the holidays is baking cookies. I take a full day in December and bake 5-8 different recipes that result in dozens and dozens of cookies. After all the cookies have cooled (and gone through “quality control”), I plate up 90% of them, wrap them and gift them to our neighbors, family and co-workers.
I decided to do something different this year. I’m going to make plates, like normal, but then create little cookie bags for people who are empty nesters or when we visit the nursing home. It’s easier to tote around little cookie bags than big plates for spontaneous gifting. Want to see what I’m going to create?
My DIY Cookie Treat Bags
To start your little treat bags, you’ll need these adorable free gift tags, string, clear or paper bags, small clothes pins and cookies, of course!
Cut the string and wrap it around the bag, securing it closed.
Add the gift tag and clip it shut with the clothes pin. Easy peasy!
Happy gifting!
