Steak and potatoes - there is nothing better!
- 15 oz. (4¼ cups) frozen shredded hash brown potatoes, thawed
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar-Jack cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup half and half
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 3 lbs. boneless sirloin steaks
Serve it tonight: Preheat oven to 350°. Combine first 6 ingredients; spoon into a greased 1½-quart casserole dish. Bake, uncovered, 35-45 minutes, stirring halfway through, until potatoes are fork-tender. Heat broiler or grill. Sprinkle steaks with Seasoned Salt. Cook steaks about 10 minutes or to desired doneness, turning halfway through. Brush with half of the grill sauce; cook 1 additional minute. Serve with remaining grill sauce. Makes 6 servings. Serve it later: Combine first 6 ingredients and place in a large resealable freezer bag. Season uncooked steaks; place between layers of waxed paper in a separate resealable freezer bag.
