Bayou Bourbon Meatloaf Recipe

Shake things up a bit by simply adding Bayou Bourbon Glaze to your classic meatloaf recipe.

  • 1/4 cup + 2 Tbs Bayou Bourbon™ Glaze
  • 1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef (at least 90% lean)
  • 3/4 cup reduced fat milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 3/4 cup finely crushed saltine crackers
  • 1 Tbs Onion Onion™ (or 1 small onion, chopped

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 5x9 inch loaf pan or use parchment paper. Thoroughly mix 1/4 cup Bayou Bourbon Glaze with remaining ingredients and place into loaf pan. Drizzle and spread 2 Tbs of Bayou Bourbon Glaze on top of meatloaf. Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour or until done. If desired, drizzle another tablespoon of Bayou Bourbon Glaze on top before serving.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sooo good! Even my picky husband loved it! This meatloaf was tender and delicious! My husband is super picky and is not a fan of meatloaf. He had seconds, then took it for lunch the next day, and made a meatloaf sandwich for a snack. He gobbled it up! I made the recipe without the ginger and used plain bread crumbs instead of crackers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful recipe especially with turkey!! We have a relative that for health reasons eats no meat, only fish or poultry. I love this bourbon sauce and use it to flavor pork chops and/or in crock pot. One of my favorite items. I doubled this recipe using ground turkey breasts and used the same amount of seasonings to add to the mix but did make a thicker glaze. I usually use Panko crumbs but followed this recipe to the letter, except had no ginger so added garlic salt in same portion. The turkey meat loaf was just wonderful and very little left after serving four, enough for great sandwiches and that was it. The sauce also helps to color the turkey so not bland looking and the glaze added even more color and flavor. Great recipe and now one of our favorites.
