How to Make Absolutely Almond Pound Cake Mix™

Absolutely Almond Pound Cake Mix™ Recipe

1 package Absolutely Almond Pound Cake Mix™
¾ cup water
¾ cup butter, melted & cooled
1 large egg, beaten

1. Preheat oven to 325˚F. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients; blend well. Do not over mix; batter will be lumpy.

2. Spread batter in a greased 9x5-inch loaf pan. Bake 50-55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

3. Cool completely. Remove from pan and slice.

Makes about 10 servings.

High Altitude: Increase water by 2 tablespoons and add ⅓ cup flour. Bake at 325˚F for 55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Do not eat raw batter.

For cupcakes, bake in greased muffin pan at 350°F for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Makes 12 cupcakes.

Cut cake into cubes and layer with whipped cream and fresh berries for a beautiful trifle.

    Absolutely Almond Pound Cake

    This cake is absolutely the BEST pound cake ever !!! Given this as gifts many times with rave reviews. The first time we had this cake it was served with a caramel rum sauce from TS and it was wonderful. Is there any chance TS will bring this to us again. Would love to buy along with the pound cake.

    My family always requests this in the summer! I bake it in a 8x8 pan and serve with sliced strawberries and fresh whipping cream! PERFECTION!!!!! Also makes the best bars ever! Look up the recipe for Awesome Almond Bars. They are always raved about when I bring them anywhere.

    Almond Pound Cake

    I have tried this third times and I am sorry to say it is the only Tastefully Simple product I do not like. The texture is not good- it falls apart no matter what and it is dry. It may be fine in a trifle, but not good as a snack or by itself. It falls apart - very disappointing.

    I have used Tastefully Simple for years and I have to say that this Almond Pound Cake is my all time favorite! From just plain or adding strawberries and cool whip.. You can't lose with this!!

    Heavenly pound cake!

    I have made this pound cake several times and it is always a big hit! Deliciously buttery moist and dense it is absolutely perfect. The almond flavor is not over powering but just lifts the flavor to new heights! I serve it with strawberries or blueberries ( like short cake) with a bit of whipped cream, but seriously, it is so good on its own. Did I mention how easy it is to make? Let them think you slaved over a hot stove… but some melted butter and a little water and your ready to go in the oven. I love pound cake and this is the only way I will make it from now on!
