1 package Classy Chocolate Pound Cake Mix
¾ cup water
¾ cup butter
1 large egg

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients; blend well. Do not overmix; batter will be lumpy.
  2. Spread batter in a greased 9x5-inch loaf pan. Bake 55-60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  3. Cool completely. Remove from pan and slice. Makes about 11 servings.

High Altitude: Increase water by 2 tablespoons and add 1⁄3 cup flour. Bake at 325˚F for 55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Do not eat raw batter.

    I made this as six mini bundt cakes, and they were perfectly moist with just the right amount of chocolate. So delicious.

    Followed directions exactly and after checking by specified baking time, cake was raw in the middle. Allowed additional 25 minutes of baking time and removed from oven. After letting cake cool, it collapsed. Cake was terrible. Ingredients seem to be inaccurate.

    I only give this product to stars because of the taste. I think the formula has changed since I purchased it last time. It has a coffee taste now and I don’t care for coffee.

    I prepared as directed, baked for an hour, tested with a toothpick, once removed from the oven it fell, then when removed from the pan it crumbled! I think there is too much butter in this recipe!!!
